MICHAEL HANLON: Honeoye, in the Finger Lakes Region was home to Michael Hanlon. After high school he decided not to go to college and began working at Eastman Kodak where he left after 20 years to pursue photography full time.

Since the late 70’s Michael career goals was to become a photojournalist. “I had a cheap Kodak 110 camera and used to pretend I was a photojournalist even if I ran out of film” says Michael. “To this day I still do photojournalism for The Rochester City Newspaper even when the wedding season starts.” Hanlon continues “I love meeting new people and going to new places.”

In 2009, Michael met photographer Teri Fiske at a photography meet-up.

They immediately connected both professionally and personally and began working together offering their clients two professional photographers instead of one photographer and an assistant.

“I love absolutely everything about my job” says Michael. “Capturing moments between people in love is very rewarding.”

When Michael is not working he enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, boating and hiking.

Michael has a 3 year old daughter, Clara and lives in the Rochester area.

TERI FISKE:  Teri grew up in Barker, NY, a tiny town about an hour west of Rochester. After high school Teri attended SUNY Brockport and majored in Astronomy. “Yes,  Astronomy”, she said with a smile.

“I’ve always loved creating images since I was a child” says Teri. “My father would make his own slides, when I was 12 he gave me his 35mm camera. I started shooting everything in site. Once I had children of my own, she continued, my love for photography grew. Now I can’t imagine doing anything else!

When Teri met Michael Hanlon she felt like she knew him all of her life! “I don’t remember getting to know him, says Fiske, “I felt like he was always there. He is my best friend, the YING to my YANG! Teri continued, He makes me think outside the box and step out of my comfort zone.”

Teri continued, “I love the ability to be creative and constantly challenge myself. I love seeing my client’s faces and the tears in the grooms’ eyes when he sees his bride. That gets me every time.

Teri also has a Boudoir division to her business called Ciao Bella Boudoir Photos. "A Ciao Bella Boudoir Session is all about the beauty of women. Women are so busy being wives, mothers, teachers, business owners that they forget to celebrate that they are beautiful, powerful and sexy. Boudoir Photography allows women to do just that" she commented.

Teri enjoys listing to music, reading and shopping for shoes!  Teri has 10 year old twins, Sean and Meghan and a dog named Jenny. She has made the City of Rochester her home.

As a wedding planner, I love the way both Michael and Teri bring fun into their work. They both have out going personalities and warm smiles. They show up at weddings with their Custom Made Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars with their branding colors and stitched with “Photographer” on the side.

Also, on the more serious side, Teri and Michael have fabulous work ethics. One thing they insist upon is that they attend the rehearsal – something totally UNHEARD OF. They feel it important that they can get a feel of the flow for the day and also meet everyone of importance before the wedding day.
